Welcome to the first in our ‘Guest Chef’ series, where we invite special guest chefs to share the DIX kitchen with Raphaël. 

 They’ll work together to cook you a delicious themed feast that will serenade the senses.

Join us on Monday 30th (SOLD OUT!) and Tuesday 31st (EXTRA DATE!)March, at 7:30pm, for a fun evening with friends and enjoy a delicious Indian & Middle Eastern-inspired menu by Raphaël and Guest Chef, Reza Mahammad.

The evening will begin with a brief introduction from Raphaël & Reza, followed by a three-course dinner, after which you will have a chance to meet Reza and ask him any culinary questions you might have!

About Reza

Reza Mahammad is a well-known British chef, famed for his knowledge of spices and how they  have influenced cooking along the spice trail of the Middle and Far East. 

 

Reza first made a name for himself through his renowned London restaurant, 'The Star of India', which he took over from his late father when he was just 16-years-old. He has since appeared widely on television, both presenting his own series and starring on TV shows such as ITV's This Morning, the BBC's Saturday Morning Kitchen, and Channel 4's A Place in France, and also makes regular guest appearances at culinary events throughout the world.

 

Reza has written a number of cookbooks and also has his own international catering business, including his most recent venture, the Chez Cartier cookery school, which is located in the Charente region of south west France.

Starters


Spiced butternut squash soup, with feta, chickpeas, caramelised onions,

and soda bread with fennel & chilli flakes

Aubergine rolls stuffed with ricotta, pine nuts, coriander & basil, served with

roasted cherry tomatoes, smoked aubergine, and a yoghurt & tahini sauce

 

 

Mains

Crumbed Haloumi cheese soaked in buttermilk and spices, pan fried, served

with a pea & coconut milk chutney, tomato salsa, french beans with orange & hazelnuts, and cauliflower rice with leeks, courgette & coriander,

flavoured with cumin & fennel

 

Cod served in a tomato & olive sauce, with avocado cream & crushed, spiced potatoes

Duck breast glazed with pomegranate, sumac honey, cinnamon & star anise

served with french beans with orange and hazelnuts, and cauliflower rice with leeks, courgette & coriander, flavoured with cumin & fennel

 

Dessert
 

Coconut Panna cotta with tropical fruit salad & passion fruit sorbet 

Raspberry & pistachio Bakewell Tart with raspberry cream
